This is my striped manicure from a while back. You can see the original post here. Like most of my manicures recently I thought it needed a little something extra so I added China Glaze White Cap. I think it is gorgeous:)

Lighthouse Over Black
If you were curious to see China Glaze Lighthouse over black I tried it out. I am not a fan at all of this combination, but I rarely like dark polishes. I still love Lighthouse though, it looks great over my large collection of pink polishes, and yellow of course.

Pink & Gold
I wanted to spruce up my China Glaze Strawberry Fields manicure so I added tape and China Glaze Magical on top. The results were actually pretty sloppy. I think this would look pretty if all of the tape pieces had been uniform. I will definitely try the hot pink and gold combination again.. perhaps with water marbling.
Strawberry Fields & White Cap
I am surprised to say I liked China Glaze Strawberry Fields before I added China Glaze White Cap as a top coat. Out of the 20+ polishes I have tested White Cap as a top coat, this is definitely my least favorite combination.
Does anyone have any recommendations for other shimmer polishes similar White Cap?

Fancy Fuchsia & Lighthouse
I was wondering how China Glaze Lighthouse would look layered over different colors. If you want to see what Lighthouse looks over yellow you can read my post here. I used one of my favorite pinks, Orly Fancy Fuchsia, with one coat of Lighthouse on top. I love this combination. In different lighting my mani changes from orange to pink shimmer.

Coral With Teal Glitter
I tried another unnamed Dollar Tree NYC polish. The NYC was a bright coral that was pretty but was also sheer. For something different I added L.A. Colors Treasure Island as a top coat. I am surprised how much I liked the coral with the teal. This is two coats of NYC with one coat of Treasure Island.
Here are a few images of the coral NYC on its own.

Sally Hansen: Rose to the Occasion
Sally Hansen Rose to the Occasion is a muted pretty pink that I picked up from the Dollar Tree in a two pack. This dried quickly and had a great glossy finish. If I come across any more Sally Hansen Salon Polishes at the Dollar Tree I will definitely pick them up.

Pink with Glitter
The Dollar Tree is a great place to find pretty polishes. I purchased a hot pink NYC polish and this L.A. Colors glitter polish for under $2. The hot pink NYC had no name, and was pretty, but I thought it looked better with L.A. Colors Glistening Purple on top. This is two coats of NYC with one coat of Glistening Purple.
Here are a few images of the hot pink NYC on its own.

Strawberry Fields & White Cap
Strawberry Fields is a bright rose pink with pretty gold glass flecks. It is a pretty polish, and it is even prettier with added shimmer. I used China Glaze White Cap again. I think White Cap will be the first polish I actually run out of and have to repurchase.
Here is Strawberry Fields on its own. Two coats, no top coat.

Pink Parka & White Cap
China Glaze White Cap again, this time with Essie Pink Parka as a base. I love this combination. I received several compliments on this manicure even though it is so simple. I have yet to find a polish I liked better before I added White Cap as a top coat.

Goodluck ladies, hopefully you have better luck than I did :)

Too Hot Pink To Hold Em & Starstruck
OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold Em is a pretty jelly pink polish on its own but I had time to add a topcoat so I used Ulta Starstruck. You can read my first review on Starstruck here. I think these two polishes look neat together. It is especially pretty in the sunlight.
Orly Coquette Cutie = Orly Butterflies
Coquette Cutie is from the new Orly Pin Up Collection. I picked it up today at Ulta and when I brought it home I realized it looks IDENTICAL to Orly Butterflies. I am not going to swatch them both because I am definitely going to return Coquette Cutie. It is a pretty shade but I do not need two of the same color just because Orly changed the name.
Do you see a difference?
China Glaze: Virtual Violet
Virtual Violet is a violet purple with subtle holo that has an amazing formula. Like the other polishes in the China Glaze Tronica collection Virtual Violet is opaque in one coat. This did chip after just a few hours, but I skipped both the top and base coat which would have helped prevent chipping.
I love the subtle rainbow in this photo!

Marbled Stamping
I was in a hurry to do a quick manicure before going out to dinner. I used Rimmel Black Satin as a base and China Glaze Passion (from the Romantique collection) on top. Because I was in a hurry my Bundle Monster plate was damp with nail polish remover from cleaning it. The result was a blurry mess of stamping that ended up looking pretty cool.
OPI: Houston, We Have A Purple
Houston, We Have A Purple is a deep magenta sorbet. I would not consider this purple, but it is very pretty. The OPI sorbet polishes will be great for the spring/summer. If you like jelly formulas this is a pretty polish to check out. I am new to OPI polishes, and so far I like them. I am planning on splurging and trying out more OPI polishes soon.

Sugar High & Starstruck
China Glaze Sugar High is a simple bubblegum pink on its own. I thought it needed something extra so I added one coat of Ulta Starstruck on top. Starstruck is a silver glitter suspended in clear polish that shines rainbow depending on how the light hits it. I think Startstruck is a pretty topcoat and I would recommend picking it up next time Ulta has a sale.
Deep Sea Blue & Firefly
Sally Hansen Deep Sea Blue is a pretty, shiny dark blue polish that is fine on its own but it is extra pretty with Jesse's Girl Firefly. I love Firefly, it is very similar to China Glaze White Cap. Adding White Cap or Firefly to any polish makes a simple manicure special.

Zoya Kiki & Magical Stripes
I wanted to show a Zoya polish since their polish exchange promotion is going on right now. For this manicure I used China Glaze Magical as a base. I then used thin strips of tape and painted Zoya Kiki on top. Kiki is one of my favorite Zoya polishes and I think it looks even prettier with the China Glaze Magical stripes.
